· Review audit reports and provide contractual basis for discrepancies. Co-author the Firm’s official responses to OIG Audit Reports with outside counsel. Efforts of Settlement Team have led to negotiated settlements of less than $2.0 million.
· Develop and implement strategies to minimize the need for actual litigation. Work in cooperation with counsel to conduct cost/benefit analysis and recommend course of action. Prepare and estimate litigation budget and case strategy if litigation is pursued.
· Defeated federal government attempts to gain access to proprietary partnership records.
Government Contract Manager (7/91 - 6/94)
· Initiated Andersen’s Minority and Women-Owned Business (MWOB) Outreach Program (Supplier Diversity) for government subcontracting opportunities. Negotiated numerous national MWOB subcontracts with professional service firms, temporary agencies and independent contractors on simultaneous engagements.
· Managed all phases of government contracts from proposal preparation through contract close-out. Worked closely with project managers on all phases of contract management and administration. Prepared cost proposals and billings including CPFF, T&M and FFP contracts.
· Implemented the Firm’s government contracting standards and specific federal contract regulatory compliance issues. Developed processes and maintained contract-related documentation. Prepared project budget status reports for both Andersen management teams and the client.

· Worked directly with Controller and Deputy Controller on internal procedures, audits, quarterly budget analyses and merger preparation. Performed all phases of accounts receivable and accounts payable for 15 managers and 14 partners.
BACKGROUND
Mrs. Sanford earned a B. A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and completed the necessary coursework to sit for the CPA exam. She enjoys photography, genealogy research and is an advocate for diversity in the scrapbooking/craft industry. Lisa also applies her skills in an advisory capacity to various non-profits and frequently mentors small businesses in various aspects of their business.
An example of her commitment to working with and understanding a broad spectrum of cultures with diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, she has authored Ethnic Scrapbooking. A book with over 100 different perspectives on how to embrace other cultures, all beautifully reflected in full color scrapbook pages. Lisa speaks about cultural diversity through various multi-media venues throughout the United States.
