I had somewhat of a meltdown on Monday evening (Day 4 of 11 day Spring Break). I went to the bank to deposit checks, and couldn't find one of them, I needed to fax something from UPS office, and I forgot the document at home. My girlfriend called my cell to see if we were at gymnastics and I cracked...I totally forgot about gymnastics class for the third week in a row!!! Mind you we've been going since last Fall! Three missed classes times three kids...that's 9 whole classes, I freaked out!
At least today, only two days later I might add, I was able to laugh about it with a co-worker (Hi Pam!). I learned that sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself, as my Leah is doing right now. I've never seen anyone so excited and happy about losing her two front teeth. The first night they both were missing, when she talked her words had a whistling soundto them. My husband and I tried not to laugh but we couldn't resist getting her to say certain words again so we could hear it and laugh hysterically, funny thing was that she thought it was funny too, which made me laugh even harder. I'm having a hard time writing this without laughing.LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL!!!!!
So my words of wisdom to myself (and others) is that sometimes you just have to LAUGH.
P.S. my rationalization for my recent forgetfulness is that I'm stressed and lack enough sleep. So off to bed I go (it's 8:45 pm)
You are absolutely right...you have to laugh. Take it easy and get some rest.

You have to learn to laugh at yourself. I get some of my best laughs at myself. Never take yourself too seriously!
