This weekend, I'm in Hilton Head, SC on a business trip. I'm managing to combine three pieces of business in one trip. One, a Retreat for work, two finishing up my book and three, conducting research on my african ancestry here in the Gullah community of the Low Country.
To me this is a slice of heaven, no kids, Starbucks 24 hours, beautiful beach and QUIET,QUIET, QUIET.
I have come to realize how much energy my children suck out of me. Now my goal will be to go back home and make some changes to preserve myself and bring a greater level of sanity and creativity back into my life. Today is day three here and I just got a look at the beach this morning! I'll be trekking through the low country all day tomorrow so I'll post some photos of my adventures later.
