Whew...we are back from a whirlwind two week vacation circling Virginia. We started off spending the week of the fourth at Bryce Resort in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, three days in Danville, Virgina for a family reunion and the last week in Virginia Beach. BUt the best part was that my kids got to experience it all with their grandparents (both sets) and their great grandmother. Tavien went too so their was five generations on this family trip! WHat a blessing.
We got to take my grandmother to her husband's grandfather's cabin where he lived in as far back as 1900.
This was my first visit to the beach with my grandmother. We loved our first visit to Virginia Beach.
I'll post more photos maybe even a layout or two about our trip and some of the "Ethnic Scrapbooking" ideas I was able to formulate while vacationing. I really experienced how creativity can really flow when you take a break from the routineness of daily life. It didn't hurt that I took along my favorite book these days...The Artist's Way, by Julia Cameron.
P.S. And to round out the vacation, when we returned home I took the kids to see CARS...it was fabulous.
I love visiting the Shenandoah Valley, it is so beautiful in that part of the country. what a blessing to travel with 5 generations! totally awesome. can't wait to see what you come up with in your layouts.

Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! So great that all the different generations got to travel together! It must have been wonderful to tour that cabin. I would have loved that!
