Life week I had the stark reminder of how much my family is at risk living here outside of Washington, D.C. On the way home from work last week I saw a military missle with a police and fire escort. I later found out that it was on it's way to the airport to take it's place in protecting the nation's capital.
I've had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes all day hearing the accounts of that dreadful day. I've labeled an album, Life after September 11, 2001 and it's full of our Fall activities and blank pages for Sept. 11th. I've typed up what I was doing and what the kids were doing on that day, I've collected the magazines and momentos from that day, but I've yet to actually create pages. I feel it's even harder now after 5 years because now I hear stories from the people who survived the attacks at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and I get choked up hearing story after story of how God was truly in the midst of it all.
Sorry to say it may be another 5 years before I can bring myself to actually scrap the day's events. All of the other albums on my shelf are complete (over 70 of them) but I'll just take my time with that one day in history...it's a day I'll never forget.
Hi. I love your blog. Just wanted you to know. I have a question, do you still use CM albums to scrap in? I find they are the best fit for me and am curious about you. Sherri K
