I had a horrible headache today, but things are looking up at this late hour, maybe a good night's rest will help too. Here's a shot of my foyer (sound so much fancier than front hallway). It's a good thing. My whole mood is set when I step in the front door and see this table. The way it's photographed here...yeah it's a good thing, but when it's junked up...I feel like the whole house, my whole life is junked up too.
It's a good thing when momma can come home and see a cluster of her favorite things right away...especially afterspending 4 hours schleping her favorite people back and forth to practices.
The print "Gentle as a Lamb" by M. Easton was our first "real" art purchase, the table is a leftover from our "finish it yourself" stage. The basket is that R.A.K. I mentioned a few posts back (LOVE seeing that). The little green journal is another collectible that I look at, but never use. The layout (on the cutest little IKEA easel) is in honor of Hispanic Heritage month, see the layout and article at Scraps of Color. The flowers...well recycled leftover from an event I photographed (can you believe they were going to throw them away!)
Please share your "good things".
P.S. can you tell I watched Martha Stewart today:)
Hey Babe,
Love reading and seeing pics. Get to see my great, & great, great nephews and nieces more often than usual. Will particularly enjoy your "blog" (am I correct, is blog the right computer-eez?) even more when I retire in May to PA!
Kiss everyone for me.
Love you all,
Aunt Gida

Love seeing your good things! I will share my own soon. Those flowers are gorgeous! The only thing missing was you in the pic.

It is wonderful to have a place of beauty when you first walk in. My front door (which rarely gets used) has good things area. I have a beautiful old chest of drawers (which used to be a radio, but someone ingenious person in my husbands family gutted the radio, added shelves, and put on a door) which has a gorgeous 12 inch rooster my husband gave me for our 2nd anniversary, the crystal trio of little wine glasses from Partylite, and a few of my favorite pictures. A beveled mirror hangs above it (auction find) and reflects the light from the candles when they are burning. When you open the doors, the most wonderful aroma meets you - it is where I store my candles. This is heaven on earth! Thanks for sharing.

What a great site! I hadn't been there before, but I loved their Sistas crop idea. Your page is gorgeous and even better that it only took 20 minutes. Way to go!
