Last month, Oprah's new radio channel debuted. I've been folowing her for years, but actually don't catch her show that often. But one of my new favorite times of the day is listening to her "Friends" on XM 156 satellite radio. I'm thankful that now when I spend all those hours in the car schleping kids around...I've got something to listen to that makes me grow as a person. Her are my thoughts on few of the friends...
Gayle King...love her realness...some days she's hysterical. I'm fond of her because I used to work with her sister Lynn and ate lunch with her mother on a daily basis at the Washington Post...she probably doesn't even remember the one phone conversation we had about breast feeding and birth control!
Dr. Robin Smith...liked her on the show, but now I get to hear her wisdom for an hour straight...LOVE THAT! Her new book Lies at the Altar has changed how I view marriage...my OWN marriage. A resource I'm sure my parents would have appreciated 43 years ago today when they got married. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM & DAD.
Marriane Williamson...not so sure about her yet, only heard her a couple of times...I did read a couple of her book jackets at the bookstore last night. Loved what she had to say about working mothers and Mothers who work at home earlier this week.
Dr. Memhet OZ...so sull of wisdom...saying stuff that every doctor should be saying to their patients...Even Jerry likes listening to him and is trying to change eating habits he discusses in his new book, the YOU DIET.
Maya Angelou...loving her more and more everyday...love hearing her voice.
Nate Berkus...still not catching the decorating talk on the radio...that's something I'd rather see...although I got hooked into scrapbooking from hearing about it on a radio show, so I'm giving him a chance.
Jean Chatzsky...she talks about finances...wasn't really agreeing with some of the things she says, but now that I know she's in the midst of divorce so now I understand where she's coming from.
If you haven't had the pleasure of listening to the station, feel free to schlep along with me...Weds nights I get a full 4 hours of listening time!

sounds like a good line up. i catch a few of their articles in o mag from time to time.

Hi Lisa, It was nice finally meeting you at Caryn's birthday crop. I hope to join one of your crops soon. Have you thought about updating your picture? I didn't recognize you in person. Take care.

Sounds like something worth listening to. Can't wait to see the show tomorrow with Will Smith and his son. Love that guy...see he's getting a little grey!
