Nia means Purpose...what is your purpose, a very hard question for kids to answer, but Jonathan (age 9) said, "To survive". My prayer for him, to survive and THRIVE! We'll be working more on this priniciple through our character development training in 2010. I know the exact dates and times when my purpose has been clarified in my life. This photo is a good representative of one of those moments.
It was back in 1996 when I inherited Grandma Josephine Turpin's scrapbook (she's the featured ancestor on the right). It was that day that I knew that raising kids would be the most important job I would ever do and leaving a legacy of my faith was going to be a major part in that task.
