Writing a book is so much more than just putting words on paper and slapping them together between two covers.  As you can imagine I am making a scrapbook about the whole writing process of Ethnic Scrapbooking.

Final Update

In case you followed my saga of the bankrupt printer...here's the final chapter.  About a week ago I got a call from the printing company telling me they sold their equipment and that they would finish printing my book at the  same price using the same equipment sold to a new printer.  I asked why after repeated attempts to locate my finished covers were they calling.  They said when they set-up the equipment at a new facility, my electronic file, covers and text were still in the printer.  That totally explained why I didn't  show up on their WIP (work in process) schedules. Being an accountant, I knew that there had to be some explanation.

Creative Spirit

When I get overwhelmed with life and all of my unfinished scrapbooking & creative projects, I read what my sister wrote about me HERE and that gives me the energy to my creative spirit back on track.

Finally!

I'm confidently back on track...my new friends at Palmer Printing were so kind enough to take photos of my book on the "press".

A load has been lifted from my shoulders...at least until I take delivery.

Back on Track

whew...what a past couple of weeks.  Well I'm glad to announce that I'm with another printer who seems anxious to help me get back on track with my book release, I'll know better next week after they look at my file and estimate a delivery date.

thanks for all of the comments, prayers and well wishes...not sure what lesson I was to learn in all of this, but maybe it wasn't a lesson but God's way of protecting me from getting an inferior product...I don't know, but I've re-grouped and back on track.

The Book - status update

Well I have good news and bad news...bad news is that in the middle of my book being printed, my printer filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and has ceased daily operations.  The good news is that I'm still alive and I only paid half the fee. I got the news just on the cusp of hosting my family reunion last week and went into a frantic mode of seeking legal help.  With that being said, I need to re-group and come up with plan B in terms of selecting a printer and financing...again.

Please keep me in prayer, I'm very discouraged and emotionally spent.  I'm heading off to the beach for some R&R with the kids this week and hope to have plan B in effect by Sept 1 (which was suppose to be my release date).

It's been a long time coming, but a proof is ready...putting on the final touches and hope to bring it to you soon.
